What steps will reproduce the problem?

Run in the shell (in a directory with the attached files):
vim -u NONE

Run in vim:
:edit one
:edit three
:source bug.vim
:3
:source bug.vim


What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected output is silence. Actual output is E315.


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Vim 7.4 (details in bugreport.txt)

uname -a: Darwin Telltale.local 13.3.0 Darwin Kernel Version 13.3.0: Tue Jun  3 
21:27:35 PDT 2014; root:xnu-2422.110.17~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64
