Issue 27: Not backing up properly
Status:  Fixed
Owner: ----
Closed:  Dec 2009
Reported by kaw...@gmail.com, Dec 6, 2009
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select to backup friends or followers; both produce the problem.
2. Click "Get'em!"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect that it will backup my friends or followers depending on which
option I select. Instead, it takes a long time, then it allows me after
several minutes to save a very large file (larger than one containing the
limit of 3200 tweets). For instance, just ran a backup of my followers. I
have 95... what I got was a file with 9401 lines instead of 96, and it
repeated all the info of those 95 followers as many times as needed to take
up 9400 lines... the file is 5.65 Megs... I had the same issue with backing
up friends, but I don't have the numbers for that file, but I do remember
it also repeated my friends info enough to run over 2000 lines.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
N/A

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi, I think this is a problem of communication - Tweetake doesn't backup your friends
and followers as such, it backs up their statuses. If you look in the status date and
status text columns in the CSV you'll see that every entry in the file is different.

I agree that the data is very repetitive - this is an issue with the Twitter API.

I took your advice and looked at the status date and text... I found that they repeat
after about 90 or so entries, which actually coincides with how many followers I
have. It may be an issue with the API, but I ask you to look again, because
everything in that file repeats over and over. same with the file I have for friends.
