What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.Write a tweet that includes accented letters, for instance "caffé" (italian for "coffee"). What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expected: caffé Actual: caffé What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Is there a version of Tweetake?? I can't find any details. Anyway, I'm using Firefox 3 on XP SP3. Please provide any additional information below. The problem is quite a big deal with the italian language (full of accented letters), and I suppose for other languages too (french, german...). Otherwise, great work.

I solved my problem with Chinese chars like this: https://code.google.com/p/tweetake/issues/detail?id=17#c1

The problems with characters outside the basic English character set should now be fixed as the code translates what is received from Twitter into UTF-16 (Excel's preferred Unicode representation) before download.
