Instead of completely downloading all tweets to a file, is it possible to append new tweets given a date to an existing file on my PC?

For example, I have downloaded my tweets to a file on my local PC named tweetake-me.csv with my latest tweet being on 01 Dec 2010. I have since that date tweeted 15 times. If I specify a date of 02 Dec 2010, I would like tweetake to just take those 15 tweets dated 02 Dec 2010 and later and append them to my local PC file tweetake-me.csv (after giving tweetake my local file name in addition to the date parameter).

Would this be easier if the downloaded file is a text file?

If you are interested, I can give you a reason why I'm looking for this.

Thanks for reading!

It would certainly be possible, though unfortunately I don't have the time right now to work on it.

One issue would be that it would complicate the interface of Tweetake, which I've tried to keep simple. I guess there could be an "advanced" interface to cover special requirements such as this.
