hi, i was wondering if its possible to configure torrentexpander so it will not rename unpacked files after the folder name? it would be a lot better for me to disable this function. i have looked into the code but it's too complicated for me to get this changed. thank you

Hello I tried the subtitles handling routine again and it seems to work fine. Are you sure the torrentexpander_subtitles_dir directory hasn't been created in the same directory as the script ? Considering that the script was able to create its preference file, I guess it's not a permission issue. What platform are you running torrentexpander on ? I'll make a few more tries this weekend. I'm not planning to make the directory renaming an option, as a bunch of other functionalities of the script rely on this. Addictedtoscreens

Hi Addictedtoscreens, Thank you very much for replying. I'm running your script together with pyLoad on my wd my book live nas drive. It's running on Linux lenny if I'm not mistaken. I don't think it's permission issue as it creates other files or directories fine. One interesting thing, last night I was messing with your script, deleting some lines out, and after taking a bunch out of your script, I have seen subtitle folder created for a first time, but because script was half deleted, I rendered it unusable for most options. And I can't even remember what lines I've took out for this to work. Also, I'm using notepad ++ for editing, I have noticed something interesting. Because it's a script it has some commands color coded but for some reason, after one specific line of code the script text becomes light grey? I will take screen shot of this later when I'm back home so you could see what I mean. But it looks like the whole script couldn't be executed because there's something wrong with it? I've got your script from you website to be more specific. Hope it all makes sense. Once again thank you for your response. You have done great job with you script! Sent from mobile device. Please excuse me any typos and brevity. 27 lut 2013 19:39, <torrentexpander@googlecode.com> napisał(a):

hi, i have attached screenshot from notepad++. you can see that all lines starting from 1087 are like greyed out? i dont know if this is how it should be but maybe this is the key why script is not generating subs? thank you once again for looking into it.

Hi I'm pretty sure it's just a display issue in Notepad++. If the script stopped working at this point, the subtitles routine wouldn't work of course, but also you would end up with half renamed files stored in torrentexpander temp directory. I really don't see any reason why the subs directory is not created, unless it's a permission issue Are you sure you have this line in your settings file ? subtitles_handling=yes What are the permissions in the directory where torrentexpander is located ? What is the user running the script ? Have you tried running it manually ? Thanks Addictedtoscreens

Hi, I tried running it manually and still no luck. I'll double check permissions in folder with script and get back you you with the result. I'm 100% sure that I've got subtitles_handling=yes in settings file. The only thing I'm unsure about is the user. I'm sorry, I'm not Linux literate, how can I check users that are running the script?

Hi I made a few tries and everything works as expected when there are more than one files fin the processed archive or directory. With a single file, you're right, it doesn't work I'll dig into the code Addictedtoscreens

Please give SVN release 192 a try Things should go smoothly now Single file torrent -> dummy file generated Multiple file torrent -> dummy file generated New srt downloaded in subtitles directory -> on next run, the file will be processed by torrentexpander and renamed/moved alongside the video file. Please let me know how it works for you
