In regular mode, the script copies/expands the files then moves them. Moving the files takes an instant if you're not using a different hard drive.

In destructive mode, no copying should be involved.
Also in destructive mode, I need to stop / remove torrents in Transmission

Destructive mode actually works the way it should and moves torrent's content instead of copying it.

But should it not move the files to "tv_shows_post_path" and
"movies_post_path".
It doesn't do that at the moment. Only moves the files to the extraction
folder.

Please try to send me more details on this issue. I can't reproduce it myself and I cannot see anything in the code that would prevent the post routines from working while in destructive mode

I am not able to recreate the issue anymore. 
Please close this thread. 

I might suspect that it was because the file was already unpacked, and therefore appeared is it did not move from the extraction folder.
