Test case for playing with the Math Buddy

Once a user succesfully logs in, the Main Menu is displayed.

From the main menu, the user clicks on the 'Math Study Buddy' button to launch the Math Study Buddy.

Once the Math Buddy launches:

  • The Math Buddy window displays the first question.
  • The user is prompted to enter his/her answer to the question.
  • The user may skip a question:
    • In which case, the user does not gain any points
    • The next question is displayed.
  • If the user leaves the answer field blank, then presses the 'Submit' button
    • A dialog box appears, prompting the user to enter an answer or press the 'Skip' button
    • If the user presses the 'OK' button, the dialog box closes, and the Math Buddy window is displayed
  • If the user enters a number in the answer field:
    • User presses the 'Submit' button
    • The next question is then displayed, regardless of whether or not the answer is correct
  • If the user enters anything else but a number in the answer field:
    • User presses the 'Submit' button
    • This results in an error (this error was missed during testing, and will therefore be addressed in the second version of Brainiac)
  • The above procedure is repeated, until the last question is answered.
  • When the last question has been answered, a pop-up windows appears showing:
    • The user's score for the session is displayed
    • The user clicks on the 'OK' button
    • The main menu is re-displayed.
