Description of the Import/Export User Account feature
Updated Feb 4, 2010 by vws.w...@gmail.com

User Level Definition

To increase the portability of the software, users will be able to save their accounts and load it from another computer that has the Brainiac software installed. With this feature, users will not be restricted to playing on a single machine, but will have the liberty to play on others, such as their home computer. Loading an account from a different computer will still reflect the same information about the user (i.e. statistics and rankings) as is stored in the original machine.

See "Loading an existing account" in the How to Log in to Brainiac tutorial for details on importing user accounts.

System Level Specification

Function: Adds flexibility to application by allowing users to take their accounts with them whenever and wherever they wish to

Description: User Accounts can be transferred from one computer to another by moving a specified user directory containing their .buf file and all .stat files and loading it on another computer

Input: User account information

Source: A user's specified .buf account

Action: User's can choose to export their account, users may then load their account via the Login screen. The user's directory and all files contained in it will then be copied in the Brainiac's "users" directory.
