Sylverant is an open-source Phantasy Star Online server written for Unix-like Operating Systems. It is most highly tested on FreeBSD, but has also been run successfully on Mac OS X and Cygwin (note that neither of these are particularly supported by the author directly).

Please note, that as of June 23, 2010, Sylverant is no longer licensed under the standard GPLv3, but rather under the Affero GPL v3. Please read and understand the AGPLv3 if you intend to use Sylverant, or run it on a server. Using Sylverant on a server absolutely does mean that you MUST distribute the source code, or at least provide an offer to obtain it to all users of the server, and the users must be made aware of their rights under this license.
