Menu/UI
Okay, so far for the menu screens I have -padded cell (with a crazy guy in a straight jacket?) -bedroom (with bland furniture, dirty walls, stained matress?) -restroom (with crazy/rambling graffiti) -rec-room (with ping pong table, TV, chair, etc.)
If you have any ideas, let me know. =]
Also, exactly how many screens do I need to draw? -Hannah Pants
Matt is creating the buttons, which are the notebook scribbles.
Ideas- Menus/HUD can be related to area, for example, in candyland perhaps you could have a candy menu.
I have an important topic involving the UI. To do the level design, the people working on it need to know what the aspect ratio for the game is to be. The most likely aspect ratios for the game would seem to be either the older 4:3 (Fullscreen) or now common 16:9 (Widescreen). The game now appears to run at a 16:9 aspect ratio, but this image will not fit on screens with a 4:3 ratio without being significantly downsized. The question is, will the 16:9 aspect ratio remain or will it be squared into a 4:3 ratio? A 4:3 ratio would have less screen room but many older RPG's use this format.
