Level Design
Chris and Manders, I'll need you to update Charles, Devin and I on the story as it's developed. I'd like an official intro summary here asap.
Charles and Devin, I want all some brainstorming about the layout of the intro and first level(s). We only have 5 days to produce something.
Possible Ideas
Zoo Level What do you think about a zoo level, where the animals are the ones running the zoo? The cages hold people that are separated according to profession. So like the mailmen and delivery guys would all be in one area, restaurants workers in another, etc. The boss could be the curator of the zoo! - Brittany Allesandro
Update - Chris has added to the main story doc. It will posted in a wiki soon.
As I have suggested, I think that one of the levels should be a remake of famous forests, such as from ocarina of time or the viridian city forest, or a combination of the two, as an easter egg.
The viridan forest could be a "gauntlet" area, jsut as it was in pokemon, where you must battle through a single but slightly branching route with no relief until the end, with treasure in it.
Heres a link to the original map. (edited by Kyle)

This is an awesome idea, but we need to hide it, split it into really much smaller sections so it's only noticeable to those with really keen eyes.
The map is ~48x34 (i may have miscounted) so do some maths Charles.
Have made Final Forest Tiles V1.1, changed a useless ass grass texture to one with lots of grass, its number 18. Am uploading new sheet, but how do I delete old one?
CandyGrass? Tile is uploaded, I will be using this.
new candy grass and forest tiels uploaded.
For later in the game, how about we make a map that is made up of distorted portions of earlier maps? For example, the first section of this map is a portion of the forest, with darker, lifeless trees and stronger enemies. Then, you travel through a portion of the candy-land map, which would also have a darker tone and powerful enemies. Last, you would pass through a section of the zoo, also inhabited by high-level enemies, except the cages that contained the humans would now be empty, having been violently pried open.
Additionally, Jack could journey through these areas in reverse order. He could start in the zoo, pass through candy-land, and return to the woods from the start of the game.
