Hello fellow artists,

I think the first order of business we need to attend to is defining an overall style for the game so that we can branch off and work on our own ideas. Do you like cartoony, realistic, somewhere in the middle? Let's hear your ideas. Even if you are not an artist, please feel free to contribute- we just might not listen to you :)

I think at least early on, a cartoony style would be a good fit, since it starts with things being cheerier and not quite as messed up. I suppose you could also add realistic elements in there at some places to clash with the cartoon stuff and create a disconnect between the character and what's going on around him.

I agree. Google for World of Goo if you have a second; it's a fun little game and I really love the look and feel of it. I think something along those lines would be perfect for the beginning of the game. It would be really bright and cheery like you said and would make a good segue if we later wanted to incorporate realistic elements.
