How to reproduce: Open Libreoffice 3.0+. Press ctrl-shift-space to create a non breaking space which is different than a normal space. Enter it in the password field and you get an error 
'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xa0' in position 17: ordinal not in range(128) on 

Need some type of validation to strip out these characters in both LDAP groups and Google LDAP.

We should fork LDAP groups since the project is dead and doesn't fix bugs anymore.

submitted patch to ldap-groups. Hacked code on production server. Dev says he will publish a new stable version soon to pypi.
