| Issue 231: | Can add more answers to a question than the PDF layout can support | |

Create a question with 6 answers. Finalize, look at the PDF. It bleeds into the next column! 5 is the max we can have. If possible the number should be increased. Whatever the number, OMR should disallow users to create more than that number.

Proposed solution: don't have limits. If a set of answers is going to bleed, skip that row in the next column. So if there is a question in row 8, column 1 with 7 options, row 8, column 2 will be skipped over. If the question is in the third column, this gets tricky. The only option I really see is pushing it to the next page and making a note in the white space that says "continued on next page" so that whoever is taking the test is aware that there is a second page.

I'm not sure the best way to handle this, maybe Brendan would have some advice from a design perspective? We could ask teachers too. Tom, Janice, Richard, and Maria would all be people you could try emailing. Michelle at CRTC often is interested in development though omr the lowest priority for them right now it seems. |
