Enhancement: use something else (maybe a check box, which is what student has) as an indicator of whether or not a student worker is inactive.

Kyle was confused by the "no" icon—but only today for the first time because I'd broken all the seniors.

I can see why this is confusing, but I'm not sure if I want to deviate from standard true/false django admin display here.

The only reason this comes up is because the field is marked read only. Otherwise it would be a checkbox. Part of the confusion is the use of a double negative. The student is not not active. We could make it "active" which would probably be easier to understand and default to true. But implementing this would not be trivial. I labeled it inactive because active is the normal status and that some how makes sense to me. If for some reason the database field was NULL, it would be considered an active student.

Calli what do you think?

Also SWORD isn't for users who need to see whether workers are active or not.

I don't think it's worth the time. Users are rarely, if ever going to see that page. Switching it would be time consuming. I say leave it the way it is.

I asked Kyle for input on this, since he's the one who brought it up and
is actually has a regular user's perspective. He never responded, so I
guess it's not important.

Won't fix unless people complain.

Really it should probably say "active" and default to True. But that's hard to do and people are used to it as is.
