Install

From iPhone console: dpkg -i StatusNotifier_x.x.x_iphoneos-arm.deb

Upgrade

If you have any issues upgrading from earlier versions, please uninstall old version first!

Dependencies

It depends on:

  • Mobilesubstrate
  • Winterboard for theme (optional)

Cydia or "apt-get install mobilesubstrate"

Uninstall

Cydia -> Manage

or

From iPhone console: dpkg -r com.otyo.StatusNotifier

Preferences

Edit /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.otyo.StatusNotifier.plist After saving plist -> "killall SpringBoard"

You probably will figure out the meanings. GUI to change setting is under development.

Icons

New icons made by Max Rudberg of maxthemes.com

Theme

If Winterboard is installed there is a "Lock Status" theme for larger icons on lock screen.

Is there any way to get the newest version through Cydia? Currently Cydia only has version 2.10 not 2.11

Comment by precap...@gmail.com, Jan 28, 2009

to instal in terminal you must be logged in as super user first.

Type "su -" (no quotes) and then it should ask for the root passwd and then you will be superuser

Comment by runnin38...@gmail.com, Feb 9, 2009

@smrubenstein after typing in su - and your passwd ssh the .deb file into var/root then type "dpkg -i /var/root/ StatusNotifier?_0.2.11_iphoneos-arm.deb" (without quotes)

I dl'd it through Cydia, and when I hit the icon for settings, it goes black, then goes back to springboard. I'm on 3G with 3.0.1.

Comment by be...@de-gier.eu, Oct 26, 2009

Comment by davea...@gmail.com, Nov 23, 2009

Awesome app!

I installed the newest version (0.2.11) via ssh and terminal on iPhone 3GS 3.1.2, and the same problem appears, the app won't launch. Is it my fault?
