| Issue 51: | SpriteMe bookmarklet doesn't work for pages being fully xHTML compliant using the application/xhtml+xml content-type | |

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. A page starting with the following header snippet doesn't allow the spriteme bookmarklet to work: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=utf-8" /> . . What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expect the spritme bookmarklet to load. Instead, Firebug clearly indicates a script element being created in the header section, empty, as follows: <script> </script> What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? I've tested with Firefox 3.5.3, and Safari 4.0.3, both on a Mac BookPro, OSX 10.6.1 Please provide any additional information below. The indicated page header snippet for this bug report is used for web pages that must pass XHTML 1.1 fully at http://validator.w3.org/check.
