This can be the solution to it. 
1. Type "add:config" in the address bar of Mozilla Firefox.
2. Change the settings to "default" for extensions.javaformatters@seleniumhq.org.install-event-fired
and
extensions.selenium-ide.pluginsData
3. Now launch the IDE again.

Do you have some incompatible Selenium IDE extensions installed? Can you name them so
we'll write the authors to upgrade the addons to conform the current state of the extension
API.

Since the 5th March 2015, I had the issue described above.  I have looked at many online
discussions about similar issue, and tried what was suggested and none worked until
now.  The advise above about changing the config worked for me and I really need to
say thanks.  
Because of the many online solution discussion and time involved, I wanted to add a
comment.  I am not sure how I caused this issue, but I know I was playing around with
premissions due to a separate issue on my pc, and must have done something without
knowing.  But thanks.  Under pressure to complete testing:-)

Solution for "Table view is not available with this format".
