Stage 1 Plan
As planned, we'll basically split into 2 smaller groups. The Functionality Team and the GUI Team .
- Functionality Team - Daniel and Shing
- GUI Team - Anson and Ben
Functionality Team:
Commander AI
- Move State
Perhaps have it as:
- If after waiting for 10 secs, the enemy hasn't moved towards me, then I will
moved towards them, to engage in battle
- Otherwise if tank is moving towards me, find best position to ambush/defend from.
Squad AI
Daniel's thoughts
- Keeps the tanks together
- Sends the tanks waypoints one at a time so they stay as a group
- Acts as a message center between the tanks
- "Under attack, reinforce!"
Tank AI
- Efficient traversing to the desired position
Turret AI
- When enemy in range, Shoot
GUI Team:
- Create a basic top down map
- Create a menu with buttons:
- Move
- Attack/Chase
- Flank
- etc...
- Moving Sprites
- Change the cursor image?
Unconfirmed Items:
- As the squad is always selected, do we need to use both the left click and the right
click of the mouse? Are we planning to only use left click
