sorry i didnt mention that the thumbs should NOT opens in a modal but only have the rel="gal", so a click on a thumb will open a different site, and click on a link "show" should start the gallery... is that possible?

Ah ok i finally got it.
I made additionally hidden links with nyromodal class and then call:
$("#start_show").click(function() {$('#start_1').click();});
start_show is the id of the clickable link, and start_1 the id of the first image of
the gallery.
THX!

I thing the solution would be to manually trigger the click event. To do so: 1) add nyroModal class to all your thumb link 2) Your code to start the gallery will be: $('#myFirstImage').click(); Please let me know if it's work.
