Having a lot more experience in HTML5 and CSS3 it is my opinion that with these technologies jQuery is basically obsolete. HTML5 and vanilla JavaScript is all that is needed these days. At the very least, the very small footprint prototype js framework would be more than enough.

Animations and anything having to do with presentation can be done in CSS. If you really want to leave the past behind, JavaScript to fix CSS short comings should be left for 2008.

Very cool. Thanks for the contributions Jim! I've still been dorking around a bit with how the initial build is going to be done. But, it's good to hear you say that.

So i'll do my best to keep all animations and presentational stuff as CSS strictly.
Let's see how it pans out.
