ABSTRACT Project name: ECABLE SETUP Objective: E-Cable Set-up is a web-based enterprise application that automates all possible business functionalities of the Paying Bills by providing information catalog of various Bill Paying Methods types to customers, applying for a new cable connection, providing information of the Organization’s authorized Employees, and providing alerts to the policy Customers for the Bill renewals. As this is a web application, it supports the company in increasing the profits by reaching more number of customers round the clock. Existing System: • The system doesn’t provide any user friendly environment for people to interact with local body administration. • This Manual system contains direct bill payments. • There is no facility to give all distributer or operators contact information. • There is no facility to give packages, channels, their charges and connection charges information to the customer. • This manual system gives us very less security for saving data and some data may be lost due to mismanagement. • The system doesn’t provide any facility to involve customer to give their feedbacks and opinions directly. Proposed System: The development of this new system contains the following activities, which try to automate the entire process to computerize. • This system provides area wise operators and area wise customers contact information. • Online system gives facility to apply connection through online. • It provides online bill payments. • User friendliness is provided in the application with various controls provided by system rich user interface. • Authentication is provided for this application only registered users can access. • Report generation features is provided using to generate different kind of reports which are helpful to knowing information. • System also provides feedback and complaints facilities from coustomers. Number Of Modules: The system after careful analysis has been identified to be presented with the following modules: 1. Administrator 2. Operator 3. Customer4. Authentication and Security Module: Module Description: 1. Administrator: He can add cable connection available states, districts, cities. He can accept the request of distributors or operators. He can add new packages, new channels and their charges. He can accept/reject the bills from the costumers.2. Operator: Operator can have the permission to view, accept/reject their area wise customers. He can also add channel packages and their charges. He can accept/reject, update customers cable connections. He can post replays for customer complaints. 3. Customer : Customer applies for cable connection. Customer can get their area related operator contact address. He can view packages and packages offers information. He can pay cable bill through online.He can post complaint to operators. 4. Authentication and Security Module: The user details should be verified against the details in the user tables and if it is valid user, they should be entered into the system. Once entered, based on the user type access to the different modules to be enabled / disabled and individual user can change their default password or old password.
