Originally reported by svernis as  Issue 70 , splitted into a separate issue.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open marave
2. click in disk icon
3. click in open file icon 
3. select file to open.
4. click in open file button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected action: Open File

Real action: Files is not opended or loaded in screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Marave 0.6
Windows XP

I need some extra information: version of PyQt/Qt?

Could you try using marave from a cmd prompt and post here what it prints?

Tested SVN trunk in XP, still can't reproduce.

OK, this was fixed in svn already, it was first reported as a comment in  Issue 67 .

As a workaround, you can still open a file by passing it as argument in the command line.
