What jarvar does with files.
Updated Mar 22, 2012 by jackokring

jarvar [-p] [-t] [-c] file [file ... ]

Options

  • -p preserve input file(s)
  • -t translate only option, prevents execution
  • -c for compress all files using compression algorithm

.jar

The jar is unpacked, and translated, and any invalid imports are flagged to standard error. A .jvr is made, and the .jar is deleted unless the preserve option is specified. The .jvr is then executed unless the translate only option is specified. Any non existing classes open a .jvr file open dialog, until canceled.

.jvr

The jvr is unpacked and executed.

.jvp

The file is unpacked back to what it was. This allows the compression algorithm of jarvar to be used on any file.

.sl

A ScriptLanguage or SL script file in plain text. This file is loaded an then executed using the jarvar engine.

Any Other File Type

Usually no action is taken, allowing for script usage of jarvar on whole directory trees. The compress option may be specified to compress any file into a .jvp file. Which can then be uncompressed when needed.
