Issue 87: 1.7.2 Pathologically hangs TivoHD!
Status:  Invalid

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Launch the app (current rev 1.7.2)
2. Point IP at TivoHD
3. Attempt to connect

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Normal operation of itivo and TivoHD
itivo times out with MAK error, Tivo HD acknowledges IR remote commands with LED but not in
the menu. It remains in whatever state it was previously in - power cycle necessary to reboot and
solve hang. :-(

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.7.2 on 10.5.6

Please provide any additional information below.

I have 3 Tivos - interestingly, the previous rev (1.6.6?) ran fine on all of them, while 1.7.2 hangs
on one of the two TivoHD's but not the other (!) (same HD size, firmware etc.) and is ok on the
Tivo Model2

ooh fun fun.
This is definitely a bug on your tivo (the application just performs web-style
connections to it, and no combination of connections should hang the tivo that
badly). Try updating your tivo to the latest software, and completely power-cycling
it. Other than that, not much I can suggest to help.

I see this kind of error once in a while. It seems to me like iTivo has problems with either a maximum # of items on the Tivo (I have a TON of recordings -- mostly analog basic on a 1 TB S3!), or strangely named items..

If you have info I can help to debug iTivo when it's in this state, please send it to me -- mattack@gmail.com.
(That is, even running python scripts or whatever manually to try to connect to the Tivo.)

No response from user. I've tested against Premier and don't see this.

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to test this yet. Much appreciated
