Issue 55: Elgato AppleTV conversion produces nothing
Status:  Fixed

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select Elgato AppleTV conversion
2. Select a show to download
3. Have the show download and convert

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Although the show appears to download, after the download no conversion
appears to be done and no file is produced. Changing back to AppleTV
conversion instead and then doing the download over produces the file.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.6, OSX 10.5

Please provide any additional information below.
I have the elgato device on two machines and tried it on both machines with
the same results.

Sorry I'm having trouble understanding the bug (and I don't own an Elgato so bear
with me).

You run iTiVo, select download format elgato appleTV, and run the encode, and it
runs but outputs nothing? Then you select the elgato appleTV format again, repeat
the same thing, and this time it works?

Or are you selecting a different AppleTV setting (non elgato) the second time around?

Also, is it even running the elgato encoder (it's a completely seperate program
that runs in its own window)? If so, does it list the show it's trying to encode in
that window?

The bug is actually no file is produced when you select the Elgato AppleTV. It
doesn't appear to be running the elgato software at all.

Ok, hmm..

Did you enable comskip? Can you turn on logging and send me the output of
/tmp/iTiVo-<yourname>.log ?

I believe this is now fixed in the beta build (it should at least be running the
encoder.. I can't speak for anything else though).
