Issue 228: no longer available on your network
Reported by tinac...@gmail.com, Dec 17, 2012
What Version of iTiVo? iTiVo-beta-20121212

What Version of MacOS X? 10.8.2

What download format did you select? dmg

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch iTivo
2. itivo gives error "Unable to connect to Tivo xxxx. It is no longer available on your network."
3. After clicking "OK" iTivo then launches.

Please provide any additional information below.
The MAC has already been added to preferences. If I click the preferences button and then click "cancel" it gives the same "no longer available on your network" message, but then returns to the iTivo screen.

If I click OK, it then opens the iTivo window, with the previously-entered IP address and the name of the Tivo already displayed in the window. It is then able to connect to the Tivo

Do you have any recordings on your TiVo? I believe if it is empty you will get this message.

https://code.google.com/p/itivo/issues/detail?id=215
contains a fix I have locally for this.

I'm currently having this exact problem. Switched TiVo boxes due to a hardware failure. With the "new" box, everything else seems to be working.
