Issue 2: No midi device ~ can we use a mouse instead?

We recently bought a IT-C2-750 and installed the I-Mix-Hd software onto my Mac but DIDN'T purchase/install a MIDI device such as Osculator or TouchOSC, as i was told i could use a mouse to control the I-Mix software. So decided to use the mouse on my Mac to adjust/change the faders.

Also when i go into setup, i have 2 options to choose from in terms of the serial inputs into my Mac. The 2 options are 'Serial Port 1: /dev/tty.Bluetooth-Modem' or 'Serial Port 0: /dev/tty.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync'
Tried both but not having any luck!

Also I-Mix-HD software is detecting 1 MIDI Input device; 'MIDI Port IN 0: Real Time Sequencer' No idea what that is :-(

Any advice?

Hey. I am trying this as well.. and originally only showed those two ports. But, then I found some software for my USB-rs232 cable, (as there weren't osx drivers for this particular cable)
PL2303 Serial-USB on OSX
(probably this link doesn't work, but I'll try:)
http://changux.co/osx-installer-to-pl2303-serial-usb-on-osx-lio/

NOW, when I run the imixHD, I can at least SEE the port:
/dev/tty.PL2303-000013FA

Not that after hitting "setup" do I get the second imixHD screen coming up.. But at least I can see the port. Going to keep trying before I go to get a better USB-RS232 cable; or (YIKES!) dust off an old PC and try that..
