Issue 49: RXA 10
Project Member Reported by cectow...@gmail.com, Apr 8, 2014
The information in RXA-10 is directly from the information available in the RPMS database for the provider. The provider is first determined by the data in field 1204 - ENCOUNTER PROVIDER, of file 9000010.11 - V IMMUNIZATION. If no provider is listed there, the code determines what VISIT the immunization was listed under, then looks in the V PROVIDER file for the provider specified for that visit.

Once a provider is found, the provider code is determined by what is on file in file 200 - NEW PERSON, in field 41.99 - NPI. If nothing is on file for the provider's NPI then RXA-10.1 will be blank. If there is an NPI recorded for the ENCOUNTER PROVIDER, then it will be included in RXA-10.1, so the issue here is what is on file in RPMS. If the data (NPI) is available it is included in the HL7 message.

The second item regards older immunizations that may predate any particular date that WA may specify. There is a programmer call in BYIM that will allow you to mark immunizations given prior to any particular date as having been exported so they won't be included in the export. The call is:

	>D EN^BYIMD

This will request a date, once you confirm the date, it will mark all immunizations given on or before that date as having been 'exported'. With this in place, none of the older immunizations will be included in any future exports. Since this issue has come up several times, the other thing on the 'wish' list would be a function that would allow you to specify a date and all immunizations give prior to that date would be flagged as '01 - historic…' so won't need the additional information required for '00 - administered…' vaccines.

Tom,
It looks like the issue popped up in AZ and WA as an STC issue. Seems that I recall something about this field in NV as well.

I am trying to use Google Code to send this so please confirm receipt.

thanks!
