sorry, as codeveloper of this project. Its been 4 years, this project is defunct. I will make a new one.
Introduction
This is the tentative plan for iDjango.
Details
iDjango will be a stand alone drag-n-drop app:
1 it has the most recent release version of Django. (the one tarballed at the site) 2 a list of installed apps, probably only registered ones. 3 frankly I want to re-implement AppEngine installer for django.
If I'm Board
I planned to start this app in Cocoa, later I might port over it to Qt. (or less likely, GNUStep)
1) mac osx doesn't come with SVN, it comes with CVS. why not get what they call the "official version" distributed in a tar, a much easy and safer option 2) python 2.5 comes with thing you need to run django: sqlite3 ... thats it. Django comes with a lightweight webserver, 3) according to the django-announce mailing list, there are backwords incompatible changes coming to the django development version
ok, this project has kind of stagnated. I will try to reboot this project with maybe a leopard. We have Webkit, WSGI and Django 1.0 to deal with. Time to rock
