Open Document format for office documents
IntroductionGuilder has decided to use Open Document format for its official non-rails generated documentation. Why? It is an open standard and has a nice license that we can deal with, plus provides an interchange format that is easy to edit as opposed to PDF. DetailsThe Open Document format is a free and open file format for electronic office documents, such as spreadsheets, charts, presentations and word processing documents. It is used by OpenOffice.org and several other office suites. See Wikipedia for more detail. |
