As we have messaged before, data validation is still an open feature request we are in the process of implementing. The methods were accidentally made public while the work on the feature was still in progress. Therefore, we recommend not coding against this pre-released API, as it is possible it may be changed. We apologize for the problems this has caused. Please track the feature request thread (https://code.google.com/p/google-apps-script-issues/issues/detail?id=219 ), or the release notes for information on the final implementation.

1. methods getDataValidation(), setDataValidation(), and DataValidationCriteria have been removed from the API
2. search results are blank
3. these are not even listed under "deprecated methods" (for example in the Class Range docs) for crying out loud
* What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
We understand that this stuff changes with little or no notice, but this is retarded. You've airbrushed this stuff from the API and documentation like Stalin removing Trotsky from a photograph. Lesson learned; fool me once.
