Adding arrowheads to the ends of a Polyline (that stay the same size as the user zooms) would also be helpful.

Hi Robin, could you please add a separate issue for arrowed polylines?
ro...@gmail.com <ro...@gmail.com> #4
Sure, should have done that to start with.
db...@gmail.com <db...@gmail.com> #5
Line cap styles would be nice to add.
Line segments should have colors for each, or a group of segments.

Linear gradient for polyline would be nice.

Could you please add a separate feature request for gradients?

It would also be very helpful to add the possibility to draw only the vertices.

You can emulate this using GroundOverlays by generating a Bitmap where you map the LatLng's to X/Y image space and then you can use DashPathEffects etc. to create any type of stroked lines.

Google Maps for Android uses a dotted line for walking directions. That API could be publicized.

We have added the ability to customize the stroke type to Polylines and the outline of Polygons and Circles in the Feb 2017 release of the Android Maps API.

Thanks for this feature. I really like it. Good improvement would be use real scale (in metric) for pattern as option. For example: 30 meters dash - 20 meters gap.
Do you plan add spans style like in iOS SDK?

Can you please file a new feature request for using real world scale for the pattern?
Also, please follow along on the existing feature request for spans: Issue 9828 .

Thanks for you help. Sorry, I didn't intend to hijack this thread for support.
Turned up build output to verbose and seeing something now.
Still not seeing anything _useful_ in the Console though...
Really I am just saying - aapt DOES CRASH on my very vanilla Win XP ADT setup. (As in Windows XP pops a dialogue and tries to send an Error Report to Microsoft).
I can reproduce it if anyone wants me to try anything further.
With verbose build output, below is the last bit of what I see:
Notice the fragmented output line "(new"
Interestingly, it seems to process the implicated menu fine earlier, but blows later amidst unrelated .wav files...
