I see that happening also, however, only when the wheel is scrolled whilst the mouse
cursor is over a menu, marker or navigation control.

If the wheel is scrolled whilst over regular map area, it seems ok. Something to do
with div layers maybe?

It has to be event propagation. Event must be stopped at the map div level.

This Bug reappears on Firefox 6.02 on Win7-x64.

If the mouse is over the map, the mouse wheel zooms the map but also scrolls the entire page!

expected behavior: if the mouse is over the map *ONLY* the map should zoom and the page should not scroll.

I have the same problem only in Firefox. It happened in Firefox v7.x and it is still happening in Firefox v8. Chrome, IE work as expected.

If it is a firefox issue please let us know so we can submit a bug.

The earlier issue and the later Firefox issue were slightly different. Please see Issue 3652 for details of the latter. Regardless, the issue should now be fixed.
