Crashing in the background has been fixed in 1.10, however a GMSMapView still cannot be created in the background. If the app is in a suspended state and a background fetch event occurs, viewDidLoad() is called where one would add a GMSMapView. However init'ing and adding a map view results in the attached blank map upon bringing to the foreground.

Operating system version: iOS 8.4
Google Maps SDK for iOS version: 1.10.1
Hardware model: iPhone 5S, simulator

i have the same issue with 1.13.0, when using the GMSMapViewDelegate - (UIView *)mapView:(GMSMapView *)mapView markerInfoWindow:(GMSMarker *)marker returning a custom UIView.

Note that If I reverse the Google Map API version to 1.12.3, the code works fine.
