Issue 906: Gerrit UI becomes unresponsive because of jetty being unavailable
Status:  AwaitingInformation
Owner: ----
Reported by ni...@codeaurora.org, Apr 12, 2011
Affected Version:
2.1.6.1

Please provide any additional information below.
1. Gerrit UI becomes unavailable to the user after seeing gerrit/error_logs:
[2011-04-12 07:55:54,682] WARN org.eclipse.jetty.util.log : Dispatched Failed!

2. Apache logs an error regarding the proxy not being available matching the time of the error:
[error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker for (127.0.0.1)
[error] proxy: HTTP: disabled connection for (127.0.0.1)
...

Workaround:
1. Stop gerrit
2. Remove gerrit/error_log file (it grows to 17GB)
3. Start gerrit

The gerrit service over 29418 continues to function properly.

This is that same old bug caused by a broken select in the Sun JVM. Is there a newer version available?

We need to follow up with the Jetty folks and see what they have to say.

I have met the same issue. 3GB error logs were produced within short time.
Is there any solution for this?
