Issue 510: Allow diff viewer to display whitespace
Status:  Released
Owner: ----
Closed:  Mar 2012
Reported by wal...@google.com, Mar 23, 2010
Affected Version: 2.1.1.1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. create a change with some whitespace differences
2. go to the change page
3. click on file to review

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The whitespace differences can be either hidden, or the lines with such
differences can be highlighted, depending on the 'ignore whitespace'
setting at the top of the page. However, when such lines are highlighted,
one can not tell HOW the whitespace has been changed, since whitespace is
not shown in either the before or after columns. It would be helpful to
have an extra option 'display whitespace', which would result in a symbol
being displayed for tabs, and a different symbol for spaces at the end of a
line. This way one could actually see what whitespaces were present in both
the before and after lines.

Please provide any additional information below.

Fixed in 2.1.2. Please updated your server to 2.1.2.1.

In 2.1.2, intraline differences are displayed, which means
that whitespace changes (as well as other changes) within
a line will be shown.

Also in 2.1.2, tabs are more visible.
