Issue 3198: Shortcut for advancing to the next file in the Change view should be single-key
Status:  New
Owner: ----
Reported by ril...@novomind.com, Feb 20, 2015
Affected Version:

Gerrit Code Review 2.10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to a change
2. Go to the diff view of a file
3. Press Shift+M to advance to the next file

To type the shortcut I need to stretch my fingers, since the Shift and the M key are pretty far from each other.

Since I use this shortcut several times a day, and then about 20 times in a row, it gets uncomfortable for my fingers.

There should be an alternate shortcut for this function, involving only a single key.

Hold shift with one hand and press M with the other. :)

Or try 'r' and ']' in succession.

I actually do the first variant sometimes. But I like to have my right hand on the mouse, while controlling the keyboard with the left hand.

The second suggestion may be nice for English keyboard layouts, but it’s horrible for German. There, the ']' is reached by AltGr+9.
