Affected Version: 2.8.5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. change something and commit
2. leave the first line of the commit message blank, start typing from the second line
3. push to gerrit

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was expecting to see my commit message, but I only see a blank subject, which I cannot click to because it is blank. Therefore I cannot get to the review page.

I should add that this happened when I was using eclipse to commit, not command line.
