Issue 2455: [Discussion] Page scrolls/jumps to the left when expanding an inline comment
Status:  New
Owner: ----
Reported by nemow...@gmail.com, Feb 6, 2014
Affected Version: 2.8.1, checked with Firefox 26 and Chromium 32.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a side by side diff with some inline comments, for instance https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/111176/3/resources/js/ext.uls.preferences.js (classic diff).
2. Resize your browser so that you get a horizontal scrollbar, if you didn't already.
3. Scroll to the right to see the full right side.
4. Single left-click one inline comment to expand it.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I. Expected: the inline comment is expanded and nothing else happens.
II. Observed: the comment is expanded, but the page also jumps to the left and I have to scroll to the right again for every single comment I wish to read.

Please provide any additional information below.

The issue would be mitigated if I could expand all comments with one click (not too hard), or if mythical issue 93 was solved.
