What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open outgoing review
2. Open file diff (side-by-side)
3. Click on inline comment

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: inline comment expands and browser is not scrolling.
I see instead: inline comment expands and browser scrolls to the top of the page.

Please provide any additional information below.
Browser: Chrome

I see the same error with Gerrit 2.6.1. It seems it only appeared when I updated to Chrome 32.

Not sure if this will be fixed.  There is a new side by side screen introduced in 2.8, and the old one (the one in 2.8) will likely be removed in 2.9

From what I can tell a workaround is to click on whatever line number link on the far right (or left) on the line number you wish to comment on.

My organization recently (after my post earlier) upgraded to Gerrit 2.8 and I noticed this has gone away (Chrome version unchanged)

We also had one user having this issue and he also confirmed that with 2.8 it works fine.
