From Marco:

Go to https://android-git.corp.google.com/g/Gerrit#change,4475 and
look at any file in side-by-side mode.
Check the "ignore whitespace" box (it should show an empty diff), then
uncheck it again, and click the "next" link to go to the next file
(don't go up first, go straight to the next one).
Repeat 3 or 4 times, and you'll see that the diff starts to mess up.
Sometimes it'll show a full diff even with the box checked, sometimes
the left column will be empty, sometimes the "next" link suddenly
disappears and you can only go "up", even though you're not on the
last file yet.

I can't reproduce any of this behavior now. I wonder if the issue was it
transitioned to unified mode when there was no difference in the file, and
Marco hit reload at some point, which then caused the left/right links to
disappear because the client no longer had the List<Patch> handy?
