Affected Version: 2.5.2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Register a new user (e.g. OpenID)
2. In the Profile section of the settings leave out a Username
3. Try to connect via ssh someusername@serveraddress -p 29418

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would think that the connection works as the web interface did not indicate erroneous or missing data. The complete output can be found at stackoverflow: http://serverfault.com/questions/506929/gerrit-installation-fails-at-ssh-verification/509516?noredirect=1#509516

Please provide any additional information below.
It would be great if the web interface used some javascript to tell the user which data is missing to be able to use the new user account. It took me some days to figure out that a user name had to be added.
