Issue 1548: Unexpected "Couldn't find remote ref"
Status:  Released
Owner: ----
Closed:  Oct 2012
Reported by tom...@gmail.com, Sep 3, 2012
Affected Version: 2.4.2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to change
2. Copy checkout command
3. Pass command in terminal

I expect checkout is done but have "fatal: Couldn't find remote ref refs/changes/66/6066/2" instead.

I don't know what is causing this problem. If you want some more information (log, database state etc.), please ask. I can't give full DB snapshot because it's production server.

As I know this problem is only related to single commit in my Gerrit instalation, for other commit this problem does not appear.

It appears that problem occures when you have cherry-pick enabled in project options and you try to checkout patchet created by gerrit (when cherry-picking).

We are running gerrit V2.5.1 but now are getting this error from one of our mirror servers on a repository that doesn't use cherry-pick submit type.

Any ideas?
