Issue 1363: hterm doesn't understand U+2060 (WORD JOINER) is zero-width
Status:  Invalid
Owner: ----
Closed:  May 2012
Reported by winst...@gmail.com, Apr 30, 2012
Affected Version:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run: perl -we 'print "abc\342\201\240def\n"'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The desired output is "abcdef", with no spaces. This is what xterm, gnome-terminal, and Chrome (the Web browser) produce in UTF-8 mode.

hterm (on Linux with default fonts) produces: "abc def".

Please provide any additional information below.
This is on Linux with default settings, but could be font-related.

I wish I could delete or close my own bug report. I clicked the wrong "report bug" button. I will refile this against Chromium OS.
