Issue 1362: hterm doesn't understand some Unicode combining characters
Status:  Invalid
Owner: ----
Closed:  May 2012
Reported by winst...@gmail.com, Apr 30, 2012
Affected Version:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run perl -we 'print "abc\314\270def\n"'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The desired output is "abcÌždef". This is what xterm and Chrome (the Web browser) print, in UTF-8 mode. hterm's visual output is "abc/def", with the "/" taking an extra column of the terminal.

Please provide any additional information below.
This is the default configuration with Chrome on Linux, but could be font-related.

I wish I could delete or close my own bug report! I clicked the wrong "report bug" button. I will refile this against Chromium OS.
