Reported by conny.kr...@gmail.com, Feb 14, 2011
After deploying gerrit.war in tomcat 7 i get a warning message:

INFO: validateJarFile(C:\develop\java\lib\apache-tomcat-7.0.8\webapps\gerrit-2.1.6.1\WEB-INF\lib\servlet-api-6.0.24.jar) - jar not loaded. See Servlet Spec 2.3, section 9.7.2. Offending class: javax/servlet/Servlet.class

You shoul not deliver such jars.

Since you are using Tomcat7, as workaround you can manually delete the jar file from
<TOMCAT HOME>/webapps/gerrit/WEB-INF/lib/servlet-api-6.0.24.jar

Its needed to run under the embedded Jetty, which is our preferred configuration.

What a crap, why not add this to FAQ or documentation? Tomcat 7 is not supported.

mariuszs, contributions to improve the documentation are welcome. I'm not aware of any of the core developers using Tomcat 7.
