What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Push a change to Gerrit containing a Java file with "union" as a variable name.
2. Notice how "union" is blue
3. This ain't C

I also noticed that the Java keyword 'interface' is not highlighted in Gerrit.

Gerrit is using a 3rd party syntax highlighter. Sounds like it has a bug that you should report to them.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize this wasn't happening because the source code originated somewhere else. My mistake.
