Reported by jjhel...@gmail.com, Jun 7, 2010
Affected Version:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. View merged changes in Gerrit
2. Randomly observe the error messages

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Would expect to see the change normally in Gerrit.

Instead I see:

Application Error
Server Error

org.eclipse.jgit.errors.MissingObjectException: Missing unknown
1d79e0138126d83636e5a5af478af42be37475af

This error sometimes goes away if you wait a bit. We have the "touch pack
objects" work-around script running hourly on the server machines. This is
the work-around that fixes issue 390 in earlier versions.

However, we're on 2.1.2.5 which was said to fix this problem.

Can you provide more of the log entry's stack trace?

We're seeing symptoms similar to issue 460 . Providing jstack dump and a listing of file descriptors here.

Attaching "ls -l /proc/$pid/fd" and "jstack $pid" outputs.

Could it be we're running on too old JVM?

We're seeing symptoms similar to those experienced in issue 390 . It's unclear whether the symptoms are caused by this issue or if issue 390 is still somehow alive.
