Affected Version:2.12-rc2-345-gabd24d2)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the "My" menu
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect to see the custom entries that I added, but they have gone.

Please provide any additional information below.

They were there earlier this week. Can't remember if I used them yesterday though.

I added them back.

This is a known issue with gerrit-review.googlesource.com. We had a failed attempt to migrate the diff preferences from db to git. A fix is already prepared, but the rollout will be delayed until next week, since I'm having a few days off.
The problem was likely caused by a wrong usage of MetaDataUpdate with a BatchRefUpdate in the migration code, but it still needs to be investigated in more details.
Gerrit is not using MetaDataUpdate in this way and should be fine, but in the end we may come up with a fix for MetaDataUpdate to prevent such wrong usage.

The user branches on gerrit-review.googlesource.com have been repaired.

This assumption was confirmed. To avoid such wrong usage in future, I've pushed a change to improve the Javadoc of MetaDataUpdate [1].

If you want to try out the effects of a wrong usage, you can have a look at [2] which adds a test that reproduces the issue.
